Lessons from the Pandemic

Using your unique gifts, how can you make a difference in the world?

Guy Sayles, a consultant with the Center for Health Congregations talks about “Beyond Regathering.” He says we need to pay attention to these things:

  • Namng, lamenting, and finding hope amid myriad losses and experiencing personal and church renewal
  • Tending to the church as both institution and a community of faith, hope, and love which the institution serves.
  • Reaffirming the gathered and embodied nature of the church , including incarnational and sacramental realities
  • Asking theological and pragmatic about uses of technology to enhance and extend embodied involvement in faith community and/or provide connection for participants when circumstances prevent their being present in person
  • Exploring  what our times apart might tell us about the effectiveness of our ministries of proclamation , faith-formation , and  transformation.

These bullet points reminded me of some questions about our lives.

What is essential for you? What do you value?

What is your purpose? What gives you life and renewal?

Using your unique gifts, how can you make a difference in the world?

May we connect along the way
